The mission of the counseling program at Flour Bluff ISD is one whereby support is provided to each individual student. We believe that all children have the capacity to resolve their own problems and make their own decisions with the professional assistance of a counselor serving as a facilitator. As school counselors, we strive to enhance each child’s character so that positive strengths and life-long lessons are learned in order to foster every students’ personal growth in a global society as they progress into the present world of the 21st century. Our support system addresses students through guidance in the areas of academic, career, social and personal issues that challenge students to reach their individual potential. With these goals in mind, counselors collaborate with educators, parents and the community to ensure that all students are prepared with the knowledge and skills required to become responsible and productive citizens upon graduation.
